Confetti Institute of Creative Technologies (CICT), owned by Nottingham Trent University (NTU), has opened a brand-new campus in Whitechapel, London.

Our state-of-the-art campus will provide the very best technology and facilities which includes a 600-capacity multipurpose venue for live music, entertainment and esports, as well as specialist studios and teaching spaces.  Confetti will deliver pioneering creative education aligned to the entertainment industries at undergraduate and postgraduate study levels.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Security Manager to join us across the Confetti London estate. The Security Manager will provide a proactive reassuring, visible and professional service to ensure the security of students, employees, and buildings, as well as manage the team of security guards.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manage a diverse team, ensuring training and regular performance reviews take place;
• Produce rotas to ensure a high level of service whilst controlling costs. Ensure that are venues are appropriately resourced;
• Secure premises and employees by patrolling property; monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points.
• Prevent losses and damage by reporting irregularities; informing violators of policy and procedures.
• Maintain environment by monitoring and setting building and equipment controls (such as CCTV)
• Manage and oversee Access control system including card allocation and access privileges.
• Complete reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities; interviewing witnesses; obtaining signatures.

Experience and skills:

• Hold relevant Security Industry Authority door supervisor and front line license
• Experience of leading a security team and undertaking building security
• Hold a current first aid certificate (or be willing to obtain one)
• Experience of dealing with students, employees and the public
• Ability to deal with issues of confidentiality and sensitive situations in a constructive and empathetic way, whilst displaying good emotional control and strong judgment and objectivity
• Able and willing to work unsociable hours
